• Inventorship (a legal concept of patent law) is solely a function of conception where an inventor must conceive

  • the solution to a problem
  • the means to that solution

• Does not have to be U.S. citizen

• Must be a human?

• May be a minor

• Credit is a moral concept based on participation, contribution, and value as perceived by others

• Inventorship is not Authorship

• Inventorship is not Credit
